I wish the search function were working too so I could what you're talking about. I'm not remotely prejudiced against the mentally ill. I've also written posts telling people to cut and run. But I've never told anyone to leave SOLELY because their partner is mentally ill. I'm sure of that because it's not the way I think. If I could the posts you're talking about, I could prob explain why I answered the way I did. I'm fine with political correctness and can understand objecting to any use of the word crazy. I'm sure I have used it in objectionable ways as a kind of short-hand. I'm not above that. But you're quite mistaken, if you think I don't believe people with mental illness can have good relationships or if you think I've someone advised leaving solely because one partner is mentally ill. I believe relationships have a dynamic that can bring out the best or worst in people irrespective of mental illness. I think you'll rarely, if ever, find me blaming relationship problems on one party's mental illness. If you care to look, I think you find I've written quite a few posts that attempt to describe the other party's point view, even if I think or it's obvious the person in question is mentally ill. Truth is I think the line between mental illness and mental health can be very blurry and situation dependent. IMO, I post far more often about bad situations than bad people. I'm a demon about the fundamental attribution error. That said, I don't expect anyone to like all my posts. I am sorry if I offended you. I it like I it and am often blunt.
